Spring is wonderful, and I love it when the trees start to blossom -- our wild plum is a beautiful shade of pink today. However, blossoms mean pollen, and for a wine taster with hay fever this is a Bad Thing. And is why I yearn for days like this when I taste in the spring (Bardolino in this case), with moisture that drags the pollen to the ground. You'd never guess there was a far shore to Lake Garda, would you?
